SMOOTH LEATHER

To keep smooth leather footwear in good condition, regularly brush the surface of dry shoes with a natural-bristle brush or wipe them with a clean, dry cotton cloth to remove surface dirt.

If dirt or water gets on smooth leather shoes, wipe them with a cotton cloth slightly dampened in clean water. Do not use alcohol-based wet wipes or household cleaning sponges, as they can leave marks and remove the dye.

For maintenance, we recommend regularly treating the leather with a neutral (colorless) cream. Apply a small amount of cream to a cotton cloth or special applicator sponge and rub it into the leather in circular motions until fully absorbed.

How to clean smooth leather at home:

  • Always start cleaning from the sole to avoid transferring dirt onto the upper.

  • Choose professional, proven footwear cleaning products.

  • To avoid damaging the leather, use a natural horsehair brush.

  • Dry shoes on shoe trees at room temperature, away from heaters and radiators (excessive heat causes leather to dry out and lose its elasticity).

  • After drying, apply a shoe cream that matches the leather color, or use a neutral cream to restore the leather’s natural oils.

  • Waxing or polishing should be done with a sponge, natural brush, or soft cloth.
